Therapeutic Class: Ocular Lubricant / Artificial Tears

Description:

Maxi Tears Eye Drops are sterile, preservative-containing ocular lubricants designed to provide soothing relief for dry, irritated, or tired eyes. They contain Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium (CMC), a viscoelastic polymer that mimics natural tears and helps retain moisture on the eye surface.

This tear substitute protects and hydrates the cornea, supports the healing of minor irritations, and helps relieve the discomfort associated with dry eye syndrome and environmental stress (e.g., wind, screen exposure, air conditioning).

Indications:

  • Dry Eye Syndrome

  • Eye irritation or discomfort due to wind, dust, air pollution, or screen use

  • Temporary relief of burning, stinging, or foreign body sensation

  • Supportive care post-eye surgery or for contact lens-related dryness (if approved for contact lens use)

Dosage and Administration:

  • Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) as needed or as directed by an eye care professional.

  • May be used multiple times daily for persistent dryness.

  • Blink gently after instillation to distribute the drops evenly.

Precautions:

  • For external ophthalmic use only.

  • Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface or to the eye to avoid contamination.

  • Remove contact lenses before use unless the product is specifically formulated for use with lenses.

  • If irritation worsens or persists beyond a few days, discontinue use and consult your doctor.

Possible Side Effects:

  • Temporary blurred vision

  • Mild stinging or eye discomfort

  • Increased tearing

  • Rare: allergic reaction (redness, itching, swelling)

Storage Instructions:

  • Store at 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F).

  • Protect from direct sunlight.

  • Do not freeze.

  • Discard 30 days after opening the bottle (unless otherwise directed).

  • Keep out of reach of children.

Note:

Maxi Tears is a non-medicated, over-the-counter product and is generally safe for regular or frequent use. It is ideal for patients experiencing mild to moderate dry eye symptoms or seeking relief from environmental eye irritation.
